About
TubesFan started the way most things worth doing start — as a late-night argument about whether Blade Runner 2049 actually deserved the box office hit it took. Somewhere between the third rewatch of the diner scene and a heated sidebar about the state of indie game development, it became clear this should be more than Discord rants and group chat essays.
We cover the stuff that keeps you glued to your screen — entertainment news, film breakdowns, software deep-dives, the games actually worth your time, and the occasional DIY project that probably should have stayed on the drawing board. If it lives on a screen (or in a workshop), it’s fair game here.
The approach is simple: write like someone who actually uses the stuff they’re talking about. No corporate press releases dressed up as opinion pieces. No “we’re excited to announce” energy. If a game is mid, we’ll say it’s mid. If a film absolutely nails a performance that nobody’s talking about, we’ll be the ones talking about it. That’s kind of the point.
Our coverage spans entertainment and film criticism, computer software guides, gaming coverage (from indie gems to franchise juggernauts), tech and gadgets, and whatever else catches our attention on a given week. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone — just a solid read for people who care about digital culture and don’t mind a strong opinion mixed in with the analysis.
Got a tip? A correction? A deeply controversial take you need to get off your chest? Drop us a line. We read everything — even the ones telling us we’re wrong about The Last of Us Part II. (We’re not.)
